- Sign up for Ring Central's fax service (free trial is available).
- You will be assigned a phone number or you can transfer your current
fax number. You have the option of a toll-free number or a regular
number. The advantage of the toll-free number is no long distance
telephone charges to your customers when they are sending you a fax.
The advantage of a regular number is that you can receive faxes from
anywhere in the world where the toll-free number is limited to receiving
calls from within the United States.
- Install the Ring Central software on your computer. This creates
a printer that you can print to whenever you want to send a fax. The
fax manager software also installs to notify you of new faxes. New
faxes can also be set to be delivered to any email box in a PDF format.
- To send a fax, print to the Ring Central printer. If you have a
scanner, you can scan the document into the computer and fax directly
from the scan. A record of all faxes sent is kept should you ever
need to look up what document was sent in the past.
