- TOP of your water heater MUST look like the one in the yellow picture here for this to fit:
NOTE: Rheem lists this adapter in the manual for some heaters it does not fit. If your heater has the inlet/outlet pipes on the side and vents on top in shape of a half moon, it will fit. If the pipes are on the top of your heater and vents are a circle, IT WILL NOT FIT.
Rheem inlet duct for attaching an 8 inch duct to the inlet side of a Rheem, Richmond, or Ruud hybrid water heater. An ideal location would be a room that has greater than 700 cu ft. If the area of your hybrid heat pump water heater is smaller than 700 cubic feet and you don't have the option of installing a louvered door then you may consider ducting air from outside the room using this inlet duct which is an original OEM part.
